Side Exhaust and Side Skirts

I am planning on purchasing the side exhaust system for my '94 GT. Anyone know if the stock skirts interfere with the outlet pipes? I really like the way the side exhaust looks, but I don't want to change the skirts.

The roush kit doesn't look that well hanging there without the side skirts.

Roush it.

Im with slick on this one. Roush it up!

If you are just going to go for the side exuast...without skirts... Don't use a tip and just have it drop just before the rear tire... it will sound nice...but might as well hide it..cause it ain't gonna look pretty

Thanks for the info

Hmmm, I guess I will have to fork over the money for the Roush skirts. I want to have the nice sound before the nice looks though. Would there be any problems down the line if I install the Roush side exhaust first, or should I install them together?

If you wanted new wheels(larger size) & tires, would you install the wheels first then do tires later? They go together, keep em together

Agreed. The ROUSH kit complete looks far better than parted out.

There are other kits out there that can go with the NASCAR race look but again, it ain't pretty.

Yeah, all of you are right. It would be best to do it all together if the funds allow. If I could afford it, I would do all the mods at the same time. Do any of you have aftermarket installed Roush exhaust, and if so did you lower the car as well? Any suggestions on lowering springs?

I am not going to the race, and I have never been to a race. I don't really like watching on TV, but I've heard that attending in person is fun. How about you?

Oh yeah, this will be my fourth year in a row. I prefer the grandstand because it is directly behind the pit row and you get a great view of all the action in the pits. Its also the only seating area that actually has "seats" everything else is concrete terraces.

The sights, SOUNDS, smells (yes, racing fuel), can never be captured on a TV set. Its totally impressive live even for non-race fans. You should go once specially since you are so close. IMO anyways.

I did the Roush side exhaust on the wife's GT it's an 03 though. I was able to buy my side skirts exhaust with tips and rear valances off ebay from a guy converting his Roush to spintechs and dumps. I paid 800 for the whole deal and a 150 Euro to have it sanded(they were that darned red) primed and painted. Pics of what it looks like can be found here-->

Obviously it has the Roush fascia on it as well, waiting on rims to get here in the mail as well as the light bar and a few other goodies that seem to be taking entirely too long over a month waiting now.. SVO also makes a side skirt opton for the 94-98GT. Also you can always go with the Steeda side exhaust setup which does not use a side skirt change. Now for my opinion go for the Roush the look is worth it albeit pricey $$.

On a side note I think we are going to go with the KB 9-14psi(for the intercooler and if we want more power it is there) option and run the 6psi pulley for every day driving no sense in stressing a stock GT block more than necc. Who all has bought the entire kit I assume the grand total is around 6800 bucks. The next question is will they ship it to me in Belgium??Using the USPS probably have to be a few boxes that way. Oh well there are pics there for those who care.

If you find a used set of side skirts take your time cleaning off that old double sided tape what a pita.

Your wife has a really nice looking car! I can't wait to have my car roushed up. Though as you say, it is pricey. Thanks for the info and the pictures.
