The prototypes had the S/C under the intake and not on top. BUt as for that other stuff couldn't tell ya. I met a guy with a red prototype and it looked similar except for the wheels I believe, but what the hell do I know.

Cool

INTERESTING. I know ROUSH slaped that SVO/FRPP blower on few cars to see if it would meet the newer modular Stage 3 standards.

Can't tell by the picture, but that blower had better be the same as the one on mine.

Could be the real deal, pulling the VIN and calling ROUSH or Jim would prove it.

Personally I would prefer a 94-95 Stage 3 to complete my stable.

No doubt a 94-95 Stg 3 would be sweet with that gorgeous intake

Are those seats a from the 99+ cars? And the fender badges...would they be GT or ROUSH for a factory roush for those times?

Cool

Factory ROUSH of the era should have the single ROUSH decal like mine .... not GT4.6L. Seats .... 99+. Obvously this car has the ROUSH catalogue thrown at it. Era mixed matched.

Mines factory Roush with slips to prove it. GT 4.6 badges. I noticed the Stage 3 featured in the Oct 98 issue of MM&FF has both emblems. Judging by Roush's track record of consistency at that time this isn't a sure fire indicator. Those do appear to be the new rims however.

Oddly enough I recieved the same pitch before I bought my S3... "One of 3 with GT-40 heads". One has to consider the source though....a salesman. Although this salesman was the district manager for Roush. He also said that of the other two one has surrvived and the other was totaled in a wreck. Anywho, my baby has the SVO/FRPP blower and GT4.6 badges. How can the GT-40's be identified? Maybe some truth can be found here.

The GT 40 heads are for the 5.0L motor.
