Back Piece Question

Yeah. Is the NEW back piece suppose to have three holes cut out or is it suppose to painted as is? The reason I'm asking is because mine is solid but looks as if it's supposed to cut out.

The back piece he's referring to is the rear bumper that Roush sells with/for the 94-98 body kit. The one made by Wings West, rather than the original / discontinued Roush version.

In answer to the question, I have seen them both ways... solid and painted, and the recessed areas cut out. I cut the three spaces out on my bumper, and planned on screening them in with black metal mesh/grill. This would add strength to the bumper (it becomes flimsy once all that material is gone), as well as add to the appearance while still allowing air flow to escape from under the car.

However, I've recently picked up a mint rear bumper (original Roush style) off ebay, and have scrapped the wings west bumper. I do have pics of it with the cut out vents, though, if you want a better idea of how it would look.

Cuz I went through the same thought process when I received the WW bumper (expecting the Roush design) when I ordered the body kit for my 95 GT. So it made sense, to me, when he asked that question.

One of those "been there, done that" things, I guess.

And we know some of the issues with the 94-98 body kits. Because there are many ......
Yet another reason I did NOT like the WW move.
