stock sunroof?

Just saw a local ad on Craigslist, guy says he has a 97 Cobra Coupe with a stock sunroof, I called him, he said it has lots of *upgrades* like white racing stripes, a $700 dollar Steeda double stack wing, Euro tails, and a big Cobra snake sticker across the whole back window. Way to take a sweet car and make it look like a Hyundai. Anyways, I called him, he said the sunroof is stock, I think he's full of it. I checked KBB, said there's never been an option for a SN95 sunroof, and I've never seen one. Someone clarify for me? Thanks, Justin

there is no sunroof option for the sn95's. the closest the mustang has come to a sunroof was the t tops in the early 80's. some one correct me if i am wrong here.

No, I think you're right. I say an 03 on Ebay with a stock sunroof, but I don't think the SN95's ever had that option. I think the fox bodies MAY have had the option, I think I've seen one or two with a stock sunroof, but never a 94-98. Thanks, Justin

PS we're not going to buy this car anyhow, i was just curious.

Smoke is right. 94-04 Mustang's did not have a factory oem sunroof option. However, a dealer may have had a local shop install on before and called it an option on the window sticker or called it some sort of "limited package". I have seen that before. But from the factory, you were not able to get a sunroof.

And yes, 94/95 Cobra's did have an optional hardtop. I have seen just one in my lifetime. Very rare to come across one.

There is a member in our local club that has 2 of them. Both are black with tan leather.

i believe sonicblue2002 wasnt talking about a sunroof in a SN95 car. in 1995 a few cobra converts had a removable hard top. i have only seen one and was black with tan interior.

Correct Wicked, I was referring to the removable hardtop Cobra.

Cool

Since it was brought up ..... /HIJACK .... as best I remember it ...

1995 FORD Cobra HardTop convertible option.
Info:
1995 Cobra option ONLY;
499 built;
main issue (for Ford) each car was taken off the assembly line and the hardtop hand-fitted to individual cars...by the hardtop supplier.

"One other interesting and very rare Mustang offering for 1995 was the option of a hardtop convertible. 499 of this hardtop convertible were produced, and even more rare were a few convertibles which came with a hardtop and soft-top, and although they were never officially offered, there are some in public hands today. The hardtop option was cool, but it was inconvenient and would be done away with after 1995."

Pics:

end /HIJACK

Personally, I always thought this was one of the coolest Mustangs offered and coveted owning one for some time. Actually saw one at the Knotts Berry show all those years ago....where I met Sam and Kev.
