AODE transmission whining
As If I haven't had enough trouble with this car, the transmission I had rebuilt and upgraded (valve body kit and 2800 stall converter) just over a year ago is starting to make a whining noise and shifting inconsistantly. I'm wondering if the AODE can handle the torque of this motor without some serious work to it. ARRRGGGGH!!

try a good fluid flush and fill. make sure you drain the TC too. make sure you are running mercon V in it....nothing else. reassess the issues then.
are you running a separate trans cooler? if not, its almost a requirement. heat is the worst enemy. sometimes a bad TC can seem like a major trans issue
