Spring Suggestions?

Whelp .. I should be getting my Chrome 17's from Eric in a couple days (Would *much* rather have had 18's but I got the blem-deal on the 17s, so why fight a discount when you're eternally poor? )

.. I just measured .. and with my stock 17's I have between 3.8 and 4 inches of clearance between the top of my wheels and the fender. (With 245/45s on all 4 rims -- though the tire on my spare is frickin HUGE looking, for some reason.)

Toss me a suggestion or two for springs or whatever to reduce that to something less 4x4 looking?

Stock exhaust still on it so thats not an issue (for now - I'll be asking for suggestions for that soon too, I really don't understand the differences in all the options and parts - it just blows my mind) .. but I don't need my Roush side-skirts dragging on the concrete so THAT is an issue.

Thanks in advance ya'll

Get the Roush springs. That will lower your car .8 in the rear and 1.5 up front or get the steeda springs and lower your car all around 1.25.

My favorite quote.

Innrkid says...
"I would rather jab an ice pick in my temple while pleasuring myself with a cheese grater preparing to dive into a pool of rubbing alcohol filled with razor blades than put up with more of this crap........"

I got the stage 2 suspension thrown on.... I have heard alot of ppl going with the eibach stuff.... but make sure you get some actual shocks and struts....cause lowering you car on the stock suspension with put a lot more stress on them.....So I guess you can keep them on till they go....

Good luck...can't wait to see the pics!!

I got Tokico shocks and struts as well. I did all the install with a friend of mine (Bri had to work) but with the air tools that he had it took about 4 hours to do everything. (With taking breaks every once in a while) plus some bolts were a little bit harder to get off since its an older car. I got them all from Speed Concepts . Heres a link Springs and one for the Shocks and Stuts. If you email them talk to a guy named Ken, very cool, really halpful

You can do it with out air tools, but it will take a little bit longer, I would say probably twice as long since a lot of bolt are on there pretty tight. The back to a whole 30 minutes to do both. The fronts where the ones that took the longest. I think that Mustang World even has a write up on it of how to. I was going to do one but didnt have a digital camera.
