if the 315 is smaller in height thats a GOOD thing! the smaller the height the easier it is to turn, just like gears, the smaller they are the easier they are to turn.

But part of my problem like all S3s, 360/380Rs, and JRCs is the roots blower makes so much bottom end power - the tires spin easily already.
I guess theoretically you could gain enough grip with more width to cancel that out but I already have a 3.73 gear and I think it is too much gear. Shorter tires effectively lowers the final drive ratio. Maybe Bullitt308 could chime in... he's seems to be an expert in those types of things.....(hint hint Bullitt308 ).

I have 315/30/18 on the back and they grip like crazy. I'm also running 275/35/18 on the front and they are a little "taller" then the back, I like the width on the front and they don't rub... but it would look better if they where 30's on the front.
