Accufabs New TB and Plenum for 4.6 2Vs
At FFW, I saw the new Accufab Throttle Body and Plenum. Its a billet aluminum TB and cast-aluminum plenum, thats supposed to outflow the stockie.
Scroll down a little on this page for it: http://www.accufabracing.com/throttl....htm#MustangTB Its $459 for both pieces, or 225 for TB, 240 for Plenum. It says it gains 7-10 hp. So its affordable, now...... Which size TB would be best for my car(4.6 2V w/ Roush CAI, Flowmasters, Steeda UDs, 3.73s, Saleen Powerflash--rest is stock) They offer a 70 or 75mm TB. Someday I do plan on a SC, but not for a few years, so I'm looking for the better NA combo. Which would give me the better results?? |

No I hadn't looked into those. I like the looks of the Accufab a lot better. Its all chrome. And says the same hp gains.
Joel, nitrous sounds great, but I want some around town HP, not just at the track. I haven't raced the car in a few months, so NO2 is a little more than I'm aiming for. Which size TB would you guys reccomend? |

No need to hurry, they still haven't started shipping them yet.
The last time I checked, they said the castings had just arrived and they would start shipping within two weeks. That was three weeks ago.

You can run Nitrous around town.
You would get mcuh if anything form a TB but if your going to get one go the 70mm route. They say the 75mm and C&L thing is the way to go but only gets you 8rwhp for the money???????? Get pulleys T/A Headers Gears and then run out of stuff before getting a TB. JMHO

As far as Nitrous, I don't really want to add it unless I have forged the motor. Its still my daily. As far as the 75mm, that wouldn't add too much fuel would it? |

It seems to me that it is an easy way to create legitimate hp - but it just seems kind of like masterbation. Easy to acheive desired results quickly but wouldn't you like it the other way better. ![]()

Plenum
I bought the C&L plenum and have the FMS 70 mm throttle body but I have not installed them yet. I will let you know when I do. Generally I think I will pick up about 8-10 hp but mostly in the higher rpm ranges.
