Question about off road x-pipe in NC

I'm thinking about installing an off road x-pipe on my 2000 stage 2 , but my question is this, when my car gets inspected will it pass? In NC they do the emmisions test using the computer, so will the cars computer tell it that the converters are not there? Also will the off road x-pipe cause any other problems that I need to be aware of?

just keep your stock h-pipe and bolt that bitch back up when its time for emmisions... sounds simple enough

Will not pass in NC. Like Mark said, keep the stock pipe for installing when emission time comes around.

If I were to get a x-pipe with cats would that sound different than the off road x-pipe?
