Question A fellow Mustang needs help

My brother has a supercharged Saleen 281. We have an issue. It has to do with cold air intake. He ordered a normal MAC cold air intake but it did not fit because of the throttlebody. So then he called Chicane, who has created a cold air intake that was designed for supercharged Saleens. Low and behold, it gets here and it doesn't fit either. So then brother wants to know: Do any of you with supercharged Roushes, Stage 3's, have cold air intakes, and if so, what kind. That kind may be the kind that fits on my brother's Saleen...... Suggestions????

The guys on this site mostly just use the Roush CAI. They sometimes have to heat it up a bit so it flexes enough to fit around the throttle body but it can be done.

The saleen upper intake and throttle body sits further forward than the roush does. I have the roush on mine and it will fit the 75mm tb just takes some elbow grease.

As for the saleen you will probably have to do some modifications in order for it to fit.

I have seen a MAC CAI pipe put on a saleen ... all you have to do is measure how much you need cut off and take it to a shop with a ban saw.... quick... clean... easy...

as far as i know the saleen one is a little closer to the radiator/ and is a little closer to the fender....

you can make up alot of error's in size with the rubber spacers

Knuther beat me to the answer. You will have to cut a section off and then you can mount it.
