I finished my foglight bulbs mod.
For anyone who cares. I found that sylvania silverstar 9005 ST bulbs will fit the fog lights on our stage 3 front ends.
You have to mod the bulb a tiny tiny bit (just a few tabs - the parts that lock into the foglight socket its really easy. for an example click here http://www.team-integra.net/sections...?ArticleID=482 basically the way the mod the tabs here you can do it as well and it makes the 9005 fit perfectly.) The result is lights that are much whiter and cleaner looking and much much brighter. I suggest doing this only if you have the glass lensed fogs as these bulbs are 65W as opposed to our stock 45W 9145 bulbs. Im very happy with the result, at least the fogs arent as mismatched to my HID headlights (they arent matching but are alot closer) and the fogs now put out a whole lot more light/ Total time to mod bulbs is about 20 mins.

I think Roush first made them out of plastic but then revised em and made them out of glass. I have the glass ones. I dunno how long ago they made the switch.

Jeff you got any shots of your car with the silverstarts in the headlights but not in the fogs yet so i can see what the difference is in color difference?
I'm contemplating getting the silverstars, but only the headlights for now.. so im wanting to see the difference.. |
