This is a very newbie question but ive never quite understood how an intercooler works. I understand if you do have one it will up your horsepower but some people run their chargers without. How important is it and would you reccomend one with the kenne bell system?

si senor. Intercooler's traps cold air much like an intake but cycles through the turbo, s/c making it safer and more reliable before reaching your manifold. If you know someone running a s/c or turbo without one, please pull them over and confiscate their keys before it's too late. As you may or may not know, s/c and turbos decrease the life of your engine, so it's wise to run s/c and turbos as safe as possible. Basically, what Markass said.

agreed, running FI without intercooling is like throwing 5 bullets in and playing russian roulet.
I mean come on, how many mods equal both more power and more reliability (then without)? This shouldn't even be a question! ![]() I wish I would have seen this thread first, but I left a short blurb in another one of your threads that touched on this. And I am simply tired of typing at this point ![]() |
