Arizona Car Washers

Every car wash I go to, my car is too low with the springs and body kit that they have to charge me for a handwash b/c it won't fit on the track which is like 2-3 times a cost of just a regular auto wash.

NOW BEFORE I GET FLAMED...I do typically wash my car when it needs a detail or a wax but it's so easy to just have someone else do it, especially since it is done under the shade and done in about 20 minutes. Was wondeing if any FNSWEETERS can recommend a good car wash that we fit on.

If you get anything but a hand wash you're retarded. Take it to Danny's, it's $20 for a decent hand wash, same price as if they drove it through the thing, and then dried it off by hand too. Also vaccum out interior and dust and clean windows 'n all that.

yeah, but all I need is an auot wash and they're usually only $10 or less and I feel like I'm raped when I pay $20-$30 for the same thing. The reason I like the cheap wash is because it is A) cheaper and B) a nice start and I usually go home and wipe down the spots they miss anyway, rims, skirts, the trunk and windows are always leaking water, etc. Just figured I could save a buck or two

Not flaming ya here,.........but Roush cars DONT DO mechanical/automated carwashes. I believe the owners manual states that (think, but not positive)

No, you get a hand wash or take to a pay-N-spray place and ALWAYS dry it of with a chamois....water spots are KILLERZ

You forgot:

C)They mess up your car, scratches, etc.
D) you can pay a little extra, get it hand washed, and hand dried, wiping down those spots that they DIDN'T miss, rims, skirts, trunk, windows, the leaking water thats air blown out, etc. Plug fragrance in your clean inside too

Besides, just think how pissed you'll be when it yanks your side exhaust off, or breaks the rocker panel loose, or knocks the rear fascia loose....etc.

You get the idea. Like Shay said, not a flame, just the truth. These things are NOT autowash friendly. Especially the double sided tape. It doesn't like high pressure hot water.

Save yourself the headache, hand wash only.

What a lot of Roush owners dont realize is that the car is not a regular vehicle. When you purchase this car you inherit a responsibility. Be proud of your car. You have to watch bumps, get it hand washed, and put up with euros and ricers trying to mess with you.

Dont look at it badly enjoy it. You are one of the few lucky Roush owners.

I USED to think there wasn't a difference either. But now my car at 33,000 miles, still looks like the day I bought it. Inside, outside, underneath, motor, etc. Its worth it in the long run.

I agree with everyone here Roush cars are meant to be babied, so take the time to take care of you car and she will take care of you. I LOVE to rub on my baby and would be very jealous if someone else did Tom

This is an oldie but a goodie. I ran into a similar problem when I owned my Hummer H2. None of the car washes would run it through their tunnel (even though they could). They claimed the tires were to big. But it never stopped them from letting Super-Duty F-Series trucks through.

So, it always had to be hand washed for the $25-35 or whatever. I think they just saw the $$$ when the H2 rolled up and the whole thing was capitalist scam.

Having recently purchased an '07 I distinctly remember reading HAND WASH ONLY. Yes, it's initially a hassle but these cars are special and have to be treated that way. You have to plan every driving route to avoid curbs, speed bumps, dips, etc in the roads. It's part of what makes up the responsibility of ROUSH ownership. Yes, there is always the ricer that sounds like an annoying mosquito beside you.................

Costs me 30 bux to hand wash the Roush in my driveway, myself.
Read somewhere that st 3s should only be washed with mountain spring water.
I use Arrowhead (6 cases to do the car) but I get 3 bux back from the re-cycler for the plastic bottles so all is good.

What Joke?
Speaking of nuts, this old ladys pet squirrels both died within hrs of each other, she had them for like 10 yrs.
so she decides to take them to the taxidermist to be stuffed.
Walks into the shop and the taxidermist asks the old lady if she would like to have the squirrels Mounted, she looked at him and said,No, eating nuts would be fine

i took my stage one v6 to "full cycle" car was and it went through the tracks. made a terrible sound the entire way through but no scrapes or anything...i wish garages out here had drains in them like they do in ny. its so much easier to wash your car in your garage and not worry about the sun.

The only car i have ever owned that did not get hand washed/detailed weekly was my 02 Acura. Why you ask since i am anal anyways: B/C i only bought the car to get through 1yr in NY and then get me to LA. Plus, for $5 there was a drive through wash, dry and free vacum. Not even worth my time.

Now, the either new acura or bmw or whatever i get when i get back, hand wash of course.

Spend $10, buy a bucket, car wash, and a mitt. You can wash it yourself many more times than once for $10.

It does say in the manual not to go throught car washes, and it will void the warranty if you do.

You would take better care of a ricer car or some other foreign car than a MUSTANG!!!! Blasphemy!! or did I misread this, hopefully. Hehe...

Mustanger, the 02 Acura is the only car that i'd run through an "nice" auto wash.

Now if i get a new Acura or whatever, hand wash like the rest of them.
