how do I know what tranny I have?

I've got a 5 speed 01 but I heard a rumor that sometime in the year 2001 Ford changed from a Tremec T5 to a 3650. Is this true, and if so how do I know what I have?

yes that's true. if you look inside your driver's side door jamb, under the trans code and see a "K", then you have the T-3650. if not then you have the t-45. i think the change was made in early 01.

okay, i checked and it said TR: 5, I assume a T5 is what I got underneath?
