Exhaust tip alignment problem

Hello,

I know there was a bunch of previous threads about the alignment of the Roush exhaust tips....Ugghhhh...Why do they come out of alignment with the side skirt exhaust cut out????? I have tried to play around with this to get it back in fit...but haven't been successful

What is the solution????

Do I need to get new tips (somehow I don't think this will answer the problem?) and is costly!

Do the pipes --connecting from the muffler to the tip "warp" whereas I need to replace them???

Is there a quick fix...such as a Sledgehammer????

Is this common?

Sorry for all the questions.

Ben

p.s. if anyone is interested in 18" Roush argent rims with Kuhmo V700 track tires and is in the tri-state area, I am willing to work a deal for 17" Roush Rims. Bottom line, I don't want to ship and will settle if need be for cash$$$. Pics are on my website above

Any number of things gets them out of alignment.

• Heating and cooling.

• Getting dragged or bumped

• Running over cats.

I have had good luck making minor adjustments just by grabbing them and pushing them into place. When that fails, just loosten the U-Bolts where the side-pipe connects to the muffler and readjust.

I am sort of dealing with the same issue. The thick rubber insulators that hold the exhaust pipes in place tend to get very sticky after the car has been driven. I adjusted mine for two days fighting the pipes hanging too high and touching the skirts or too far back towards the wheel. It seems to be getting better over time. Just driving around town with all the bumps and all will eventually make the pipes settle in one place unless you hit something. Then slight adjustments such as Shay described should be all you need.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one! It surely can be frusterating. I'm going to try Shay's suggestions. Thanks, Shay.
