What's the difference???

Just curious, what is the difference between the 360R and 380R cars? Or did I just imagine there are two different numbers?
Thanks

Like the number states, difference is horsepower. However, the difference is because of ONLY the ECU...so, you can get the 380R computer for a 360R and have it put out 380hp instead of the current 360hp.

In addition to the ecu upgrade, I think the 380's have magnaflows as opposed to the 360R's stock system. The 380's were also available in all color combos the 360's only red and white.
Any 380 boys want to chime in?

Did your car come with stock exhaust??????

I didn't think Roush sent anything out with the stock exhaust.

The 380R does come with just the standard Mustang GT exhaust.

the R's start life as a GT premium w/ leather, etc., come w/ the billett alum pedals, roush white guages, PBR break system w/ cross drilled and slotted rotors, roush badges, complete S3 supercharger system, S3 front valence, 02' Cobra hood, S3 tail, Le Mans stripes and Bullitt wheels

I think the classic is less equipped then what I stated above for the R series.

^ Roger that basically charger and brakes...

But Roush throws in the front, wing, stripes, pedals (lol), gauges, badges, and hood.

That still leaves out tons of ROUSH options I was talking about... the big brakes, S3 suspension, Roush seats, exhaust, Roush wheels, short throw shifter, and more I cant think of. Those are the important ones. To me anyways lol

The big breaks are already included. The pbr's are 14" in front & 13" rear, cross drilled and slotted!

You are correct about the suspension, seats and wheels, the short throw is / was an option on all cars. The R line has a different theme than the other lines. It is a nostalgic theme, that's why it comes w/ the Bullitt wheels, Le Mans stripes, old school looking leather / premium GT seating and rear exit exhaust. If you changed all of those items to modern Roush, it would defeat the purpose. If you are not a fan of the R's nostalgic theme, then it wouldn't be equipped properly for you!

Most of the 380's came with the Roush 17 or 18 inch rims. The Bullits must have been unique to the 360R.

Isnt that essentially what a stage 1 is? Not to be a smart ass but if that's all that was really important to you why'ed you fork out the extra money for the S3?

Get out your tape measure, I have only seen 13" rotors with the PBR's.

The Alcon's are the 14" brakes, The PBR's are essentially like a Cobra/Mach 1 setup except I think the rear rotors might be GT size.

Don't get me wrong, 360/380R's are cool cars, but they are strippers. I would rather have a Stage 3 or a JRC.

I had 18x9 & 18x10 Argents and recently sold them and switched to Bullitts, which I have always been partial to.

Trust me, My classic is beyond basic.

Bottom line is, all the 360/380R is, is a Stage 3 without the side pipes, and some stripes. No offence to you pure Stage 3 guys, all Roush cars are awsome, but lets not flatter ourselves here. Everything offered on the S3 was atleast an option for the R so lets not split hairs over it.
