Yeah it'll make a little bit of difference as long as the chip is told to do so. It's not really worth it though until you do a mod that requires a chip to get the full potential IMO. In the end yes it will firm up your shifts and usually raise your shift points a little; but I say get gears then get a good chip

I have one...but I don't have a tranny temp guage so I don't know how much it helps although I know it does. I originally installed it becuase I replaced my radiator with an aftermarket one which did not have the tranny cooling capabilities.
