caster camber plates for my stage 3

After getting the dreaded inside tire wear on the front passenger side tire, I think it is time to move up to some quality caster/camber plates. I have maximum motorsports on my old 94 cobra, but that was like 4 years ago when I put them on. Has there been any tremendous change in the technology?

Just looking for some recommendations from the group. I finally found a highly recommended alignment shop, but figured i might as well put some plates on before the next alignment. Now that I am working from home, I don't put many miles on her during the week.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Do a search on caster/camber plates, this has been discussed alot. One suggestion I have is if your not going to do alot of performance driving,(cornering) ,I would suggest using less negative camber, the tire will stand up straighter and wear more evenly.

I am going to go with Maximum Motorsports if I ever get off my ass and order them from Mario.

I put the Steeda 4-bolt C/C plates on mine when I had the suspension installed in April. So far, they've held the alignment perfectly, and no signs of uneven tire wear.

I have the M/M chrome C/C plates. They have held the alignment with no problems, even with several track days.
I would highly recommend them, and installing them is easy

I put UPR's shark plates on, after talking with a number of different shops that deal mostly with modified vehicles, the awnser was the same. they all do the same job. Unless there is a specific reason that you need one plate over another, buy the 150.00 plate kit over the 250.00 kit and use the 100 bucks for something else

I'm fearful of some of the other non MM brands..... I have seen a few CC plates on 99+ stangs that got bent up. 4 bolts is the only way to go, that's something steeda learned slowly and now they have a 4 bolt design. MM has been pushing that since they came out with the 4 bolt versions. But then again, those 9 people also tried to use the 3 bolt type with coil overs...

I know some of those bent CC plates was from BBK and UPR and one set from Steeda, before they came out with the 4 bolt version. And they all had repair or replace the hoods. Again, it's not so much the fault of the cc plate maker, but more of the end user not installing the correct type of cc plates. the 3 bolt CC plates are not designed for a Coil over Shock application with hard driving. The load of the chassis is on the CC plates is too much for 3 bolts, if the shaft of the strut is out of the triangle.

I installed the Maximum Motorsport plates last month and they are great. When I went to the alignment shop the following Monday the fellow that did the alignment commented about how he liked them over other plates he had used. According to him, they do alot of lowered Mustangs and he felt that the MM plates were the most durable he had seen. As far as I am concerned, it was worth the $199 that I paid for them.
