Alternator Question
Can you buy a Stage III alt from Roush? It appears that the part # on their page is the same as the parts list for the kit. I thought the alt was different.

Not stock because they are made to work in the lower left hand side of the motor?

The alternator was moved from top center to lower drivers side. At least the housing is different. Someone once said the rotation is swapped but I have not confirmed that.

FYI: Best way to remove it is go in from the bottom. You'll have to drain the radiator and disconnect the lower radiator hose at both ends to open up some room.

I was told by the president of Roush that the Roush alternators are rclocked for the new location. Also the housing is machined for the new location for the alignment.

Roush uses the oem ford alternators for cores that is why they do not stock them seperately.

Marc - I was able to purchase the Roush upper intake off of ebay. So I'm going to make my own FEAD for the front and put the alt in that location.
