Roush Front windshield sticker

O.k. this one has been bothering me for several months now. I have had 5 of the Roush logo stickers on my front windshield. And all five have come off within weeks of putting them on. I have used the soap and water method but within a week it would start peeling off or get knocked off with a wiper. Or peel up at high speeds! The car originally came with it when I bought it, but I had some tree sap fall on windshield and the sticker In the process of trying to get the sap off I took the sticker with it! Anyone have any other methods or something I am missing? I have spent over $125 on stickers for the front windshield and that is getting old.

Wow - that really sucks! I have to ask tho - a wiper??? Do the wipers really go up that high? I don't ever need mine

I have never had a problem with mine. First car was almost 2 years old and no problem, and this one is 3 yrs and still perfect. Maybe there is something with the soap solution Could the soap you are using be too harsh on the sticky stuff?

Maybe give Roush a call and see if you can sweet talk your way to someone in back that applies these things. The guys I met in the back were salt of the earth kind of guys, and they will help you out if they can. Just not sure if they will transfer you back there.

Good luck.

Hey i was having the same problem. I just put on the front windsheild sticker about a week ago and the H peeled off going down the highway when i twas raining "with NO wipers on" I just rainX the window alot to cut down on the wiper usage. I called stage3 performance where i got the stickers and they just sent me a whole new sticker. I dunno if it was smart of you to keep buying the same damm sticker if it keeps coming off, without first calling roush and complaining.

After you clean your windshield with windex, ( NO SOAP! Leaves a residue on the glass. )
Use alcohol last, let it dry, Then apply the sticker.
We have never had a problem with even corners coming up!!

Yeah I never said I was smart! I bought two from Roush and two others from some bootleg on ebay I think. I called Roush before but all I got was instructions on how to put the sticker on and that still did not help. I just was wondering if there might have been a trick somebody knew of.

So you clean the winsheild and then rub the area with alcohol. Then just put the sticker on. I belive it is 2inchs from the top and Im not sure what the distance is from the side.

I think Gwinnett Place Ford has stickers in stock if you need one and will be in the area. Their parts counter is open on Saturdays if you are going to be in the area on a weekend. Not sure if they have the old style and the new style or just one or the other. YearOne might have one. You could call them and ask them to have it at Commerce for you if you wanted to go that route and they had 1 in stock. Just a couple of ideas!

Mine is on tight as can be, and isn't affected by the wipers or anything...yeah the blades rub over it, but it hasn't created any problems. I didn't use soapy water to apply it though, but I did clean the glass real well and applied it slowly and rubbed it down very well (listen up ladies! hehe). It's been on for almost 4 years and still looks brand new.

Alcohol is the ticket! Just make sure you let it evaporate before placing the sticker.

Yeah those decals suck. I just went through my third. They come off with the slightest touch, its rediculous. I am considering having the logo etched into the glass. Never been done, should be pretty fnsweet.

That's an interesting conclusion...my car has sat in the sun, sat in freezing conditions, windshield wipers heavily used, and yet to this day mine hasn't even attempted to peel. For some reason I'm not sure the sticker is fully the problem...

Actually several old FNSweeters looked into it. Expensive but unique.
