Thanks guys, I appreciate the "warm" welcome.....lol

I guess I just figured the 6er was kind of like the red-headed step child as they are on some other stang sites. My wife has won a few awards with her car and we really like it. She is having a surging problem with the car that the dealer cannot diagnose. If anyone has a clue to what the problem might be, please chime in.

P.S. I felt we needed a v8 in the family so i bought this one to make me feel better......

Sixers are always welcome here!

Nice looking cars you've got. We'll have to chat about what's under that fox's cowl hood.

Welcome to the site, the car looks fantastic. Actually let me rephrase that and tell you that both cars look fantastic.

Welcome aboard moels.

You will find this particular forum to be one of the best on the net for Mustangs, let alone Roush Mustangs. We are all proud of the caliber of people and prose here.

Nice car indeed!

V6'ers

I've read a lot about V6'ers, used to have one. Although I traded my V6 in for my V8, V6ers actually have a better weight distribution than the V8 and when properly equipped can be real nice track handlers from my understanding. Throw in a little forced induction.....

Welcome and I must say that car is looking great!!

As for your surging problem that is usually indicitive of a idle air solenoid going bad but I can't believe that would be stumping a highly trained dealership mechanic! So maybe something else.

Well our local Ford dealership doesn't have the best reputation so I wouldn't be surprised if they missed it. We just took it there 'cause it was local.
Anyway I could replace this thing. I'm not a mechanic but I can follow directions. I am in the middle of doing some little things to see if the problem clears up. Put in a new air filter and I will do plugs and fuel filter tomorrow probably. Again, any help is appreciated.

Welcome to fnsweet.com, moels. Glad to see you chimed in here.

Your wife's ride (and yours), and y'all's participation are absolutely welcome here. This is kinda a homey, family-feeling site compared to others. Seems more conducive to semi-conversation and personal interest in each other compared to others. No usenet inflation, either...

I occasionally participate on one of the boards you moderate on, but this is HOME for me...
