Maf

Im trying to figure out where the air temp sensor went from the MAF plug in? Does anyone know if Roush relocated this sensor to somewhere besides inside the MAF? On my 360R it has two wires being rerouted to the back of the motor and I am wondering if these are for the air temp sensor. The plug in is for six wires, but only four are being used for the MAF now. The reason I am saying this is that I am looking at a bigger MAF for my CAI.

I tried a search function and it says that it can't find any information in the forum...hence this thread.

Thanks for all the help

Thanks for the info, but it doesnt help me out

The 2002 intakes are different than the 2001 models. My stock intake tube doesnt have a temp sensor right after the MAF like the earlier models do. I have searched all under the intake tube and cant find anything that is a temp sensor, so thats why I am asking if anyone has upgraded their MAF on any 2002 S/C cars. I want to make sure I order the right parts with my new CAI setup with the new MAF.

On the 2002 and up models Ford put the Iat sensor in the maf. Roush relocates this sensor to the intake on the drivers side back for measuring the blower temps. The wires you traced indeed are the old ones that went to the maf from oem.

Nick- All the Roush S.C. cars have the temp sensor moved to the charged side of the blower. The parts are the same for all SC CARS 01-UP. The inlet tube on the 01 has the port plugged and 02 and up do not have the port. This is the only difference in the years.

The 90mm maf wil flow great but you still have a 75mm throttle body. By going to the 90mm you have actually changed the ratio the computer reads from the Maf and TB to get the correct fuel mixture. This you will need to watch, Check it on a dyno if you go to smaller pulley ,headers and CAI.
Every car reacts differently so check out your combination on as dyno to be safe. jim

So by staying with the current MAF and upgrading the inlet tube and filter, I should be OK with the Air/Fuel Ratio then? Ive read that people are using many different CAI kits like the Roush, Steeda, Densecharger, etc. but is anyone changing the MAF to a bigger one?
