New X-Pipe and Headers
Guys Im looking to add an X-Pipe with long tube headers to my stock side exhaust 2004 Stage 2. What do you think the best kinds would be for me to buy for this application? The car is going into the shop for gears(3.73), headers, alum driveshaft, X-pipe w/cats, cold air induction and sub frame connectors to compliment the stock connectors. I appreciate the help.Derek

i don't think you can get cats with a LT and x-pipe combo, i could be wrong though, just about any brand will work well, i'd suggest getting the headers and x-pipe of the same brand, but it isn't necessary. what kind of subframe connectors are you putting in, i take it you have a vert, most likely you'll have to undo the stock ones in favor of much better aftermarket ones.

I have a BBK catted H on my BBK LT's. I dont have side exhaust though.

You can pick up the SLP Longtubes and the SLP (short) catted X-pipe...one of the only catted X-pipes that I know of, look at www.slponline.com\
But I think that Stage3Motorsports ma ahve had a catted X, not sure about that though

I found an X-pipe to go with LT's but heres another question. BBK puts out LT w/ short H pipe. Will this even fit my stock side exhaust? Any help on this is appreciated.Derek

Just be advised that you may have to work at it to get it to line up right if you've scraped on speed bumps and such a lot as things may be mis-aligned a tad.
Other than that, the headers/manifolds and mid-pipe are EOM Ford parts, and anything that fits a GT will work out for you. Don't forget to post a sound clip when completed.

also, if you have a 5speed and may need a clutch soon, do it now since with LT's you need to get them out of the way to drop the tranny, spend a tad more now to save a whole lot later

If your gonna go with catted shortie, I would not buy stupid expensive catted mid-pipe tho. I bought BBK O/R H for $130. And bought 2 highflow Magnaflow catts for $80. $210 later, I have catted shortie H!!
