26 5/8 inches front
27 5/8 inches rear. There should be very little difference from my stage 2 than a stage 3 ? In doing the measurements I did find that the drivers side rear was 1/4 inch higher than the passenger side. Is anyone elses like this?

When i first lowered my car i would get all kinds of difrent mesurements. Anything like uneven pavement, turned front wheels or if the car is leaning on one side more than the other it will give you diffrent mesurements.

Could the setup be such to counter for an average size adult driving it? I dont think 1/4 inch or so is much to go on. No telling how the car sits after certain turns and such. It would be interesting to know if indeed the suspension is a bit higher on the drivers side without the driver...

I have looked and looked all over to find out why the mustangs don't sit perfect. All I can come up with is "its a Ford".
My passenger side sits a little higher than my drivers side. This could be due to the lack of blondes sitting shotgun, or the fact that every high speed on/off ramp turns to the right. You could trim your springs, remove the isolators (I did on one side) or just live with it. I will get some measurements from my H&R SS's.

Having never measured any kind of vehicle (mostly because it didn't matter!) I do wonder if all makes are slightly different from side to side and not just Mustangs.

After six years I noticed that the gap above the top dead center of the rear wheels and the fender was different on each side. In laymans science I could fit three fingers on top of each other in the gap on one side and two on the other.
Yes I understand that if the car is not sitting on a level surface then you should expect the car to sit awkwardly. However, my garage is level left to right with a slight downward grade to aid in drainage. This is where I last tested them. I had the car serviced and asked the dealer to check out the ride height. It turned out that one of my rear springs was at fault so I replaced them with new Roush springs. Now the ride is level again. One other thing you might want to check if the level looks off from behind. Measure the distance from the top of the rear fender spats to the red reflector and from the ground to the bottom of the spat. I had them taken off and refitted once and it made the car look like it was leaning to the left since they had fitted the right spat a 1/2 inch higher than the left. Best regards, Pete.

I just had the Roush suspension installed, but the garage put in all the sims in with the front struts. Now the front sits higher then the back like this:
LF 27 1/2 LR 26 1/2 RF 27 3/4 RR 27 1/2 Also, I was sent two right-hand side control arms (Planet Ford said they will fix this too), so we could not put in the rear sway bar - I'm not sure if this will affect ride height from side to side. |
