Backfire on Spintechs

Hey guys i was wondering if any of you knew about the spintechs backfiring when ran without cats. i heard that the spintechs sound good but tend to backfire at about 3000 rpm on stangs without cats. this are for the side exhaust set up. let me know anything you know about this. thanks all!

Any car without cats is prone to backfire, too much exhaust and not enough engine, it's not necessarily the muffler itself. I've heard bonestock GT's with the only mod of an X-pipe backfire like there was not tomorrow.

I had spintechs w/o cats and I didn't have any backfiring issues. Sounded good when I down shifted though

In some cases, backfiring is caused by a leak in the exhaust system. Check that out as well.
