By removing your CATS you will lose some boost at WOT about 1-2#'s in the summer but will gain it back when the weather cools off. The reason why you lose boost is because your are removing the CATS and letting the exhaust flow easier without all the back pressure of the CATS.Originally Posted by fnsweetS3
You should also pick up 5-10 more RWHP and 10-15 or more RWTQ by removing the CATS. Sometimes more, my car picked up 21 more RWTQ and about 12 more RWHP. But what impressed me was I gained almost 15mph in my trap speeds. The sound on the other hand can be a bit more than some can handle.
On a side note, after I changed out the catted H to a O/R H. I took it back to the tuner to make sure all was good with the A/F and to see what, if any gains I had gotten from the change out. The A/F was right on the money! IMO the O/R pipe cost was worth the gains in HP and TQ and sound.
