? on LOUDEST header back system

i've done the searches on this forum and stangnet and couldn't find a conclusive answer to my question.

What is the LOUDEST possible complete exhaust system i could put together? I already have SLP Loudmouth I Catback which is on my way to being loud. I'm looking for some long tubes and non-catted X or H pipe.

I know I could just run it uncapped and it's be loud as hell but i'd like the full exhaust, header back to be ridiculously loud as well. Passing Emissions is not a problem nor is sound violations.

Any recommendations?

augie4 said "hooker headers" were challenging to install needing to pull out the whole motor.

I checked out stage3motorsports and they have the Ceramic Coated BBK LT w/ O/R x-pipe combo for $650 w/no o2 extensions or good gaskets. Is that gonna float my boat?

RPM Outlet's SLP LT w/o/r X, o2 Extensions and Gaskets are gonna be $970
BASSANI MidLength w/o/r X, o2 Extensions and gaskets $898
BBK LT w/ o/r X, o2 Extensions and gaskets $740

any other places and/or prices on the loudest?

oh btw: i'm not at all concered with the POWER output of the exhaust, just sound. i mean hey, the cars fast enough already, just needs to sound like it

I would say go with the MAC prochamber w/o cats, my brother runs this with the magnaflow cat back and even with stock headers it's loud as ****.

its gotta be A LOT louder for my tastes. infact i've heard prochambers with dumps before along with prochambers with stingers, and i've gotta say that my stock headers, stock catted h-pipe with SLP loudmouth I's sound a little louder due to the raspyness. i'm looking for obscenely loud..... not "smooth and loud"

but thank you for your response. it was nice watching your video clip. some nice footage. and sounds "cleanly loud".

My car is crazy loud! If the windows are down and I jump on it your ears will ring for about a half hour. People wont even ride with me. People can also hear me get off the freeway about 3 city blocks away when Im headed over to our local car meets. I will try to get a sound clip tonight for you. The only thing I dont like is it is popping when you let off at high RPM's.

You can ask D Roush about it. He heard it with the LT's and O/R pipe and the Dynomax's it was loud then now its just crazy loud.

BBK LT
BBK O/R H pipe
Spintec's

Well I guess there is different tastes for different people. I like loud, but if is sounds like ass then you might as well run straight pipe. Point in case SLP Loudmouth......equals the ghey. But thats just my opinion. I do like the spintech sound of some of the roush cars I have heard. I also like the sound of and offroad H and Bassani's Quiet Thunder. I'll stick with my set up.

If you want Loud, just go for BBK LT with an o/r h. Dont get the BBK o/r x, because they sound like crap. The mac prochamber will sound good, but wont be as loud as an o/r h or x pipe. Here's my car on the dyno, I have just an o/r h and slp lm1's, no LT's.

I believe the BBK o/r X sounds great with a set of magnaflow Magnapaks...Probably the most raw power sound you will get. Especially after they break in.

Bassani makes BBK H's and X's. I have had both on my car and I can tell you laying side by side there no different, one has a BBK tag on it and cost a lot less lets say about half and they sound the same also. Each to there own when it comes to sound. Some like it quite and some like it crazy loud. I say do it your own way!!

Loudest possible... O/R X-pipe... say Dr. Gas. Headers... Biggest possible... don't know brands, but look at primary diameter. Don't do a cat-back. Do no mufflers and it will be the loudest possible.

everyone has responded in this forum and other mustang forums, that o/r h-pipe being the louder of the two. performance wise, depending on brand, the x will either be more or at minimum equal to the H.

I knew the X was the better performance choice of the 2, but I was wondering on loudness, thanks for the insight

So do you think the FRP Shorty headers , Magnaflow exhaust, with no cats and a prochamber will sound better than

FRP shorty headers, magnaflow exhaust, no cats and a bassanni X

What exactly will having no cats do for me HP/TQ wise.... I have the MIL merlin built is that everything I need? I may have found a local shop to remove the cats... but places around here won't do it... they are skeert or something. Do they have to fabracate a length of pipe to replace where the cats were???
