let the modding begin

made a trip to jegs today to pick up a new CAI, 75mm throttle body, underdrive pulley's, a predator tuner, and some 4:10 gears, installed everything but the pulley's and the gears. pulley's will be going in tomorrow and i will be setting up and appointment for the gears to be done. these are my first power mods so far and im very pleased with the power i've picked up. i think in the next couple of weeks i will be ordering some nitrous for the car. just a little update as to what i've been doing lately.

Sweet! Christmas in July bro! I started installing my 3.73s today, not too bad an install overall so far, a few little quirks, but fun nonetheless.

Your list is exactly like mine, minus 4.10 vs 3.73s. Im not too big on NOS though, would rather get charged, but Im sure it will be a kick in the A$$ for ya. Have fun. Installing it yourself is 1/2 the fun

yea i had put some money back for the car and finally decided to just do some bolt on's for now. im going to start building an engine in november that will be superchared so im just going do the the nitrous for now to hold me over till then. i've done all the installs myself with my dad we just heard that doing the gears is a major pain so im going to have a shop install them

I've wanted to learn how to change the ring and pinion. What's the hardest part?

(sorry for the HiJack)

Getting up the nerve to actually do it. I havent yet done the pinion depth measurements and backlash measurements yet, but I hear they can be tricky. However, if you have the right tools it should be a breeze. I hope to finish the install tomorrow, I will post up the results.
