Just added Stage 3 suspension to 02 Stage 1

And damn I love it. It didn't lower the car as much as I thought it would. Which is good, since the exhaust tips scraped pulling into driveway.

I took it hard through a few turns I know. It sticks. Not quite like a Stage 2 or 3 with the 18's, but I think I will have a hard time getting it too loose. I can't wait to take it up Sepulveda or Mulholland.

Anyways, here are some pics. I have the Roush brakes coming soon also. Blower still on wish list.

BTW, Galpin AutoSports "Pimped my ride". They said it didn't need CC plates. Dunno if that is true. ANyone ever do the suspension and NOT do CC plates? Any problems? BDR?

At Galpin, with a sweet Mystic Stage 3 Vert getting twin turbos in the background.

    And then home.

And lastly pulling into garage. Front didn't scrape like I thought. Instead exhaust(spintechs) dragging, so I hopped out. Once I pulled forward a little, the tips dug in!!! God, I hope it comes out alright.

Looks awesome man. However, I would have chosen to add the CC plates at the time of the install so that they could do the alignment as well. The CC plates are much recommended, but not required. I know I didn't add them until I had my car about 1.5 yrs....haven't really seen a difference good or bad, but it did allow the shop to align it easier, and if you ever plan on tracking it, it might allow for better or more aggressive adjustment down the road.

ummm, well... I ran the roush suspension on my Stage 1 without cc plates and had no issues whatsoever. You may want to reconsider your blanket idiot statement.

#1- If my car is properly aligned, then why would I need them?
#2- It is "camber," not "casper." Aftermarket suspension parts can change all aspects, not just camber.
#3- With the stock plates, my front tires last about 2-3 times longer than the rears. I couldn't care less about getting 20,000 miles out of a set of high performance tires, I didn't buy the car because because I hoped the tires would last a long time. That is why they do not come with a mileage warranty, idiot!

if it makes any difference I've got the MM plates and I still can not get "CASTER" (for those that keep calling it casper)... within spec! Camber and toe are perfect though!

Car looks good either way! Thanks for sharing!

    Cheers

looks good! when i get back we'll have to meet up and tear up mullholland together!

also, i can't remember the part, but there is a special part that ford makes for the mustang, like a spacer that corrects the severity of the inner tire baldness. but if you can get your alignment to roush specs great, but any adjustments after that or if you still can't get it aligned, thats when you'll need CC plates.

    oh

LETS GO!!!..... i may not no much about cars but i do know some and, in this area.... ive wasted alot of money... so i must know alot....

    1. they are a must....do a reasercha dn ull soon realize ur gona wast tire tred for no reason

    2. ur not gona feel a problem with ur suspention it will feel amzing much like mine does. but after about 6 month of driving turn ur wheels all the way to the right or left (witchever) and look at the inner tire wal and ur gona realize that ur tread there is 1/2 if not more then that gone...

    3. the idiot comment stays cuz ive now gone threw 3 sets of tires befor i listened to every tecnical know how on this form and ordered some myself

    4. ford cannot do a full alighnment job on ur car w.o them

    5. i was totaly trashed when i posted this first comment as am i right now for the secound... so what of it! oh and FYI sinces im drunk im not driving witch means less wear and tear on my tires ..... may that point be noted.

    6. im sorry if i assumened the CC stood for "C"amber "C"apser How silly of me......... ??? thanks for not correncting me in a possitive way.......

    7. long sotrie short, i may have jumped on this form hard, but everyone that dogs me, has either not disagreed with me or just tryed too cut me down....

    8. u dont need them right away and i know every car is different but it seems a common occurances that u will defienatly want them cuz even if u dont want ur front tires to last 20k miles (fyi that does matter for me cuz thats only about 8-10 months, and u have to wait about 1-2 weeks after u place a order .... for me thank you) its money out of ur pocket that u could be spending on alchy like me... or more performance mod's

    1. I don't have them, and have had no problems with the fronts wearing irregularly.

    2. My car is an 02, bought it in 03, tires were fine when I bought, as they are now. Never have or currently wore/wear irregularly.

    3. So we are idiots because we haven't read them, or have not had problems with our cars? And it seems you can't figure out why people may get upset with you

    4. Ford can't do a lot of stuff right...

    5. Congratulations

    6. I didn't know stating it was camber, not casper was a negative way to do so. Should I have given you a link instead?

    7. I don't think if someone agreed with you they would cut you down. People may be "cutting you down" since you are calling them names.

    8. Buy a different car then, one with a bigger trunk, for all of the alcohol.

Point is, everyone that is "cutting you down" or "dogging you" is probably doing so because you are calling them idiots for basically no reason, in this case, your tires wore irregularly and since none of us have bought CC plates to fix something that isn't broken on our cars (which in the interest of saving money here, would cost a few hundred dollars on something we don't need), we are idiots.

Also, here is a link to a free spell checker.

    no

YO bro i cant type that much again..... like i said befor if a shop tells u that u definatly dont need CC plates..... THEY ARE IDIOTS! they should at least let you know or take into consideration that many cars with aftermaked suspention need them to correrect the irregular tire wear. and my car is a very valid point of this exact case! witch is what ive been stating this hole time....... and buy a different car with more trunk space..... how the hell is that gona help me drink more, cuz i do belive that statment implys me driving (therefor not drinking). and how didnt highschool pay off? are we talking about my spelling.... u semeed ot undrestand everythning cleraly enuogh.

    THE RECORD

You dont NEED caster/camber plates, persay, but they will help your alignment.

I dont have them and have had to cut use of a still worthy tire due to inner balding. I usually never do this, but im going to agree with the drunk guy.

We all know that MM CC plates are a top selling item cuz no one uses or really needs them huh.

i put the stage 3 suspension on about 10 months ago, and about 8000 miles. i also included the drop bushing for the rack and pinion. the alignment didnt change after the install. even the toe in was spot on. tires still look brand new. most of the cause of front tire wear on the inside is caused by excessive toe out. only things that will cause tire wear are toe, camber and tire air pressure. caster will affect the stability and ease of turning, and will cause pulling sometimes if it is really different from side to side
Better to have and not need, than to need and not have...
