Alcon brake question

Hey guys, been awhile since I posted anything, but getting the ole red rust bucket ready for the next road race event and I have a little question about the Alcon brakes. When I first move the car out of the garage and hit the brakes with any sort of force I get a little metallic clank sound. I have taken the wheels off and everything looks ok. Anyone else have this sound and is there something I should be looking for. Is there something wrong with the brakes?

Doesn't seem to impact the performance at all, but don't want to go 100+ at a road race and have something fail. Any thoughts? Thanks as always.

Are you sure the clank is the brakes?

One thing that comes to mind is that if the car has been sitting, they could be grabbing against the discs. But that should go away after driving it for a bit.

The other thing to consider is maybe lubricating all the suspension bushings and end links.

I know this is pretty basic, but make sure you check the lugnuts. They might not be snugged down all the way.

Don't ask me how I know.

Thats what is sounds like. The car is only driven once or twice a week. Hopefully everything is ok with my baby.

What would make you bring up loose lug nuts?
