Roush Stopping Production of all 99-04 Parts??

I read a statement on the BMC that Roush is stopping production of all 99-04 body & mechanical parts? Is it true?

I have been expecting that to happen...wonder why Jack doesn't license some aftermarketer like Cervini's to produce replacement parts. Just don't hit anything boys & girls..& for the true blue people don't worry about too many clones anymore.

I guess thats one way of making Roush cars collectible stop making replacement parts.

Time to just get rid of the car! I think that is b.s. if its true. So basically you won't be able to get replacement parts if you have an accident, something breaks, etc etc. So without spending $2500-$3000 soon your fn screwed! That is absolute crap!

I have to totally agree with you because, your insurance company wont like you if they have to replace the car if you barley crash your car and they no longer make a front bumper. Ford didnt stop producing body parts so roush shouldn't either, no wonder the 96-98 roushes are practically non existant pretty soon 99-04 will be the same

No company makes replacement parts forever. Ford doesn't, and Shelby stopped making parts for thier 1960's cars just a few years after the cars were made. It does not make economic sense to keep making parts forever.

So, this should not come as a shock to anyone.

This is where NOS parts get their value. There are a number of parts dealers who have, and will have stock on hand for some time.

If you plan on keeping your Roush for a long time I recommend you get yourself a spare set of body parts, exhaust tips, wheels, and perhaps even supercharger parts like the pulley bushings.

If you end up selling the car, those parts will surly return you more money re-sold later than they will cost you to buy today.

Yep, might be just about time to go in a different direction. While many companies don't make parts forever you can find many of them through aftermarket but I think these parts will be few and far between a few years down the road. Buying "ahead" is a great idea if you have a couple thousand extra dollars laying around that you can spend on your car just in case you need something years down the road. I just think this is too early to discontinue parts for these rides!

While Sochirio Honda was still alive & running the company he stated he would ALWAYS produce parts for his bikes! 4 years is WAY too soon to stop production...ans what about my idea of licensing a quality aftermarket source? Any comments on that? Seems like a reasonable way to go...

This situation was the final straw in my decision to not put any first gen body parts on...but maybe that was the whole idea? I just find it very unsupportive of Jack's original customers is all.

That's crap if true. I understand not everyone makes replacement parts (OEM) forever, but like Walt said, 4 years!? Ford still goes back about 10-15? years, at least that is what the local Ford dealership told me.

4 years is way to soon, at least theirs tons of saleen duplicates out there encase saleen decided to stop making them, but there is no roush duplicates anywhere, maybe we should have bough saleens. I have a funny feeling your insurance is going to rise with these cars now. I can already see the conversation from the insurance company,"so you want me to total your car because we cant get you a replacement front bumper? how about we buy you a stock ford gt bumper? then you say, no i want my roush bumper, then they say ok call JACK! Then you say, %&^* JACK HES THE ONE WHO CUT PRODUCTION AFTER 4 YEARS. Then your insurance replys well your getting a stock gt bumper after all then.

On another note, we thought the exaust tips are expensive now, omg they are going to be worse when you cant buy any! we better find a way to weld them up because i dont want mine stolen because it'll happen alot when people know they can sell them for 600 a piece or if they need one.

Actually that is incorrect. Saleen has long stopped making replacement parts for the many of the last generations.

You can check with Stage3Motorsports or one of our other parts guys here, but I think you will find it much easier right now to build a new 1999-2004 Roush clone, than a 1999-2004 Saleen clone - and be able to get everything in a timely manner.

Really, Then why does stage3motorsports sell the real saleen body kits? Are they not real then?

yeah it is crap how they discontinue parts tho becuz it was really quite difficult...almost impossible... for me to find mine(via a smashed v6 roush) and it will just make people(roush owners especially) more angry at the desicion to do so. it's so funny becuz people always ask me where i got the kit from and i basically tell them that if they wanna do it, they pretty much can't anymore becuz they stopped all process on my body style period. Also i spoke with a director at Roush who worked and helped design my body style and he told me they even scrapped the molds for 'em too! Isn't that ridiculous?! Then again it does make my car that much more rare i guess (even if it is a conversion).

There are still a lot of parts in inventories here, there and everywhere as there are and will be for Roush.

I know that Bill told me some time back that he stocked up.

If that truly is the case, hopefully there will be full kits around in about a year so I can buy one once my car is paid off (~12 payments left, yay!)

And again, I say, we all should have bought a Saleen instead of a Roush car. This is one more reason why I should put the car up for sale. I CAN'T EVEN BUY A NEW SET OF FLOOR MATS FOR MY CAR!!! If I do ever find a set, they will cost me over $140.00. Please.......................

I have a complete body kit (minus wing) for my 95 including the hood. It took 4 years to find a Roush Cowl hood. So stock up.
