Enhanced muffler set-up?

Hello to all.

Been awhile since I have posted on here. Ok here is my question to all Roush owners with side exit exhaust set-up. I want to upgrade my OEM magna-flow mufflers, get a little more flow, and hopefully a little more aggressive tone! I noticed that Roushperformance offers an enhanced muffler for side exit exhaust systems. Is this any better than the OEM magnaflows that originally come on the car? Louder? I know we are limited to aftermarket mufflers for side-exit! Are these mufflers worth it? Does flowmaster or anyone sell a better muffler that sounds bad ass? Thanks for the help! Stang3.

The sound is being held back with the manifolds and stock h pipe. I kept the stock Magnaflow cat back on my car and did BBK headers & X pipe and mine sounds great. Has a lot of throat to it. You just need to unstop it a little.

I had the enhanced sound magnaflows and they didn't do it for me, switched to the Spintechs and love them. Now I have the magnaflows sitting in my garage collecting dust, hard to sell mufflers that are only for our side exhaust.

Hey buddy I have a set of flowmasters on mine. They are actually made for a Dodge application. But the in and out work for the Roush and they talk to you as does all flowmasters.....

I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but spintech and flowmaster are almost the exact same muffler. Cut them apart and take a look. They look VERY similar. That's why they both sound so sexy!

Thanks

No...not at all thanks for that info. I have always loved the way flowmaster has sounded, but once again they dont make hardly any mufflers(one maybe?) for the side exit exhaust set-up. Your right they do sound sexy LOL...but I was curious if the spintech's are as loud. I looked around on the spintech website...it looks as though there mufflers are on the quiet side, but dont get me wrong I have never heard spintechs on a Roush! Thanks again, Stang3.

No, Flowmaster does make a muffler for our cars. We had to search long and hard but I will get you the part number. We have them on our 01 S3 and its much louder than the spintechs. Can't remember if me or Dayzee posted it but look around and there is a video of our car on here. Flowmaster, Side exhaust and Catless H-Pipe.

Yo will crawl under the car monday night if needed to see a part number for ya.. They are like most flowmasters clam tell under load. I have BBK shorty headers and a Bassinati ( however spell it) cross pipe with cats.. They rate around a 7 then over 4000RMP a 8-9...
