Whats the best CAI?

Im looking to buy a CAI and am just wondering which is the best. I planned on getting a roush cai, but K&N are always in my mind.

I called JLT...they do not have a CAI that will fit the Roush(all stages)....same motor! Maybe possible to modify to work, but why would you spend that kind of money if your just going to modify it right? They claim it isnt even close to fitting! JLT specializes in Cobras and GT's....Roush uses a blower and different size throttle body, along with MAF.
They referred me to Tunable Inductions CAI website....they look awesome and reasonable priced! Can even get them painted to match your Ride. They are fully tunable, with a SCT or Diablo, etc. They are much cleaner looking than the K&N! Plus there made of PVC, not thin plastic. which dissipates heat well...and if you live in Arizona like me, that means alot!!

Hope this helps out! Later. Stang3.

The Roush CAI that came on my Stage 2 fit just fine until I put the blower on. Until I upgraded to the Tunable Induction.

I still have it sitting in the garage too! If anybody needs it.

I 2nd that. I have compared about 4 different versions on our Stage 3 and on the Dyno and the Tunable Won ever time. It is a quality piece as well. But if not JLT would be my 2nd choice.

The Roush CAI fits.. I had one on mine.. The coupling that attatches to the Throttle body needs to sit out in the " Sun " so it will stretch over said part..

Tunable Induction is the way to go !!! Love mine and fits like a glove..

Ive got the fender JLT and LOVE it, but its a PITA if you ever need to replace MAF or recharge filter. If I could do it again I would get the JLT Ram air

I noted in a similar thread...I have a MAC fender well CAI on my JRC...and my only beef is getting to the filter...however the last time I "looked" at the filter...it was in good shape.

We recommend the JLT CAI or RAI. both are great pieces and produce a great amount of horsepower and torque.

+ You can't go wrong with the cost. They are one of the mor affordable items.

On my personal car, which was a stock 2001 Mustang GT Convertible at the time. With a JLT RAI and a SCT X2 I made 260rwhp / 298 rwtq.

If you don't wanna buy more than one CAI, listen to this. You are obviously catching the mod bug, which means when your done bolting on the basics, your gonna eventually find yourself a (shop)tuner. Murphys law dictates that your new tuner guy is NOT going to like the CAI you buy, he's got another in mind. So first, find a tuner you like and can trust and ask thier advice on what to get. BTW, any aftermarket CAI including the Roush unit will fit.

I had the BBK research & development team swear that they made NOTHING that fit the Roush but see??? Fit my 360R back in the day with no modifications needed.
