    Headlight Bulbs 9007 vs h7 ?

Ok so i drive about 4-6 nights a week on dark unlite windy roads. I drive on freeway and city streets as well. I'm looking to get the best bulb on the market for my Stang. I like the brand Sylvania Silverstar and hear good things from them. American muscle offer's several models. I'm not quiet sure about what the numbers mean. for example what is the difference between 9007 and H1 or h7 or 9006 for that matter. I'm looking for the best vision possible to get with upgrading the bulbs alone.

"side note" I drive a 2007 VW rabbit and love the lighting high and low beams. What would compare to that?

I'm not sure your poll will accomplish what you are looking for. I would suggest you do some research on Sylviania's website or see if they have a customer service number where you can talk to someone that can answer your questions. I can tell you that when I see their bulbs packaged at the store, they generally do give you some idea of what to expect from each bump upward in price. So would expect the $30 pair of bulbs are better than the $20 pair, and the $50 pair are better (provide more lumens of intensity and reach farther) than the $30 pair. And as far as an "H7" vs a "H6", stay with the base model bulb designed for your car. Without researching, I believe they are going to be designed for different current ratings/requirements and may have different connector designs to prevent installing the wrong design than originally intended.

Ive been runing Ultrastar 9007s in my mustang for a while, love them at night and definatly brighter than the stock bulbs in my fog lights. I used to run the silverstars but herd the newest and best were the ultrastars i swapped out. Saw a VERY little difference, idk if it was worth the extra few dollars but oh well

imo, dont waste your money on the fake stuff. go to ddmtuning.com and get a set of HID's, takes about 30min to install and your done. i have this brand on all 3 of my bikes, my roush, and my truck to include the fogs on both rides. no issues to date. a billion times better than anything from sylvania.

what's all involved changing over to hid? do you just replace normal bulb with the hid one and plug and play the harness? and what color bulb 3000- 5000? I think 3000 to 5000 range are the whitest.

yes that all you gota do well then you have to find a place to securely attach your ballast to. I have 8000k for both fogs and headlights and they look perfect if you want something brighter then go with the 6k. if you want to buy them at a good price go to ddmtuning.com very good product

    bryan

so after looking at the ddmtuning sight a have a few questions.

    1) what is the difference between h1- threw - h13 and the h's vs non-h series bulbs like 9007's or 9006's

    2) What would be the best modlel to get to retain quality high and low functions

    3) 4500k - 5000k - 6000k? what is the brightest and sharpest but not a distraction to on comming drivers?

    4) is it worth it to fork out for the 55 watt for $10.00 (will it even work pros and cons)

    5) is the dual in dual out worth it 12.50 ? (same questions above)

    6) are the error eliminators nessicary?

from what i ordered and from what i see from my lights i have gotten the 9007 and work perfect. you could spend the extra few dollars to get the high beam and low beam but depends on how often you use it because they are already bright as is and using high and low will wearout the bulb faster. $10 more for the 55 watt definitely see the difference seeing that i have 35 watt foglights and 55 watt headlights it runs out the color a little but it is brighter and i have 8k and that seems super bright to me so im guessing the 6k will b even more bright for you and on comming drivers.. the eliminators were not necessary and the dual in dual out i have no idea what that is but didnt pay to find out. there should be no need for #5,6 but the 55 watt you can tell the difference
    hope this info helps

you need 9007 for the headlights. 9005 for the fogs. its all about the type of bulb and how it fits. don't think to hard about it. the ballast are the 1/3 the size of a pack of cigarettes and its all plug and play.
