Good dyno tune

Hey everyone, I am not new to the site but I forgot my password and my old email account is locked so I can't get it sent. My old user ID was Bitshin1 if anyone cares haha, anyhow I recently finished my 5.4L swap in my 04 Roush stage 2 and I am looking for a good shop to have it dyno tuned. I am in Yuba City, CA, about 30 mins north of Sacramento and don't mind driving a little to have a good tune done. Sorry I havent posted any pics yet, but I will try to get them on here in a few days. Thanks for any advice anybody has, Brandon

Off the top of my head, APEX in Santa Clara is definitely a great choice and I'd recommend them personally although I haven't been there since Bill left. Give it a little and you'll hear from some "locals" soon.

I have heard of them, I was planning on going to Valaya Racing, L.L.C. which is near there also unless ppl have had a better experience a little bit closer. Force Fed is in sacramento but i have heard numerous horror stories from them

Although my experience at Apex was not dyno-tuning, my experience was top notch and expect nothing less from them for anyone else, including dyno-tuning.

I was not going to dyno-tune my 4.6L N/A '00 S2, saw no need...pulled great numbers as it was so I left it.

How do you get away with only 30lb. injectors on that beast?

that is the size the engine builder recommended. I thought i needed bigger injectors myself but I figured he knew more than I did so

Really cool that you dropped a 5.4L into your stage 2. Where did you get the block from? Did you do the install yourself or have it done by someone? Any plans on a blower?

I am going to start a new thread for the 5.4L swap. I am still looking for a good dyno tune shop however.

Those injectors sound about right, even 24 lb injectors max out at around 350hp at the crank so the 30lb are fine but you'll need to upgrade when you go blown.

Go Apex! They are doing a great job... I personally know of a KB blown red vert that is running strong & safe!

I looked at your car about a month or two ago, sounds nice, but definately needs a tune. I would go to Valaya Racing or Force Fed Performance for the tune.

Got images too..

I am going to have to say George at Apex for your tune... they guy really does a good job at tuning.. My Cobra ran like crap after it was tuned by the last tuner and had probs till a few things George did on adjustments and also adding a larger bypass and saving me the money by finding out I didn't need a MAF extended or a boost a pump like the former tuner had said I needed.... I am running 470RWHP/415RWTQ at 21-1 A/F

Most importantly, if you do have an issue, Mike will make it right. I hauled my butt out there from Rocklin, just down the road from you. If you feel like stopping in, let me know! I am right off 65 just south of Lincoln.
