Now I remember why I love racing so much!

Hey guys,

Just a quick update on the racing yesterday. I have not had the car out to the track since it was almost new. Went to Ennis yesterday and it was pretty warm, around 90 degrees. Had the time of the my life, but need to set up a checklist for every round going forward. I think I am hooked again, going to do 1/8 mile this weekend.

First run

About 11 am
Forgot to turn off traction control, smoked more clutch than tires. Missed third and still ran a decent time for first time out in a while.

R/T 0.269
60' 2.096
330 5.61
1/8 8.643
MPH 82.11
1000 11.199
1/4 13.308
MPH 105.65

Talk to my buds and they said you need to run the 12 sec class and said what the hell, figured if I warmed the DRs a little better and didn't miss a shift my goal of 12s was definitely there.

Second time trial about 1 pm, turned off traction control, warm the tires better but still probably not enough, left at about 2500. Decent grip, grabbed second just a little spin, shifted to fourth late in the run. Knew it was a good run, went to pick up the slip and 12.638 - I was stoked. My 60' fit could still be improved alot

R/T 0.165
60' 1.945
330 5.354
1/8 8.176
MPH 88.02
1000 10.576
1/4 12.638
MPH 109.38

Loved the mile per hour.

First run in actual race, set up was good, I need to learn to do a better burnout in my car, maybe a line lock. Just got to agressive with launch and spun the hell out of the tires and missed 2nd - good combo...not. Time was crappy, but the MPH was great.

R/T 0.144
60' 2.127
330 5.874
1/8 8.819
MPH 84.8
1000 11.289
1/4 13.354
MPH 109.76

I lost, but still had a blast. My bud and his 69 camaro were upset, his best time of the day was a 13.43, my car is significantly faster

Well going to get some 3.73 gears this week. I think the pulley and cold air kit made a big difference. Just thought I would share.
