New Best!!!!

12.432 1/4 mile
1.841 60ft
110.71 mph

On borrowed M/T ET Streets, I have love when it finally cools down here in S. Florida! Not bad for a 100 mile a day, 40K miles, automatic daily driver.

By the way, the only engine mod is Steeda CAI and a custom tune along with the 4.10 gears. No pulley upgrades at all, 2pc driveshaft is hanging in there, and still 383hp at the wheels, so just wait, 11's are in my sights.

Also cracked 111mph on another slightly slower run!

Those are great times, I am hoping with some gears and learning to heat up the Nittos I can maybe sneek into the 11s with the 02 Rally Stg3. Keep us in the loop on your times.

I was on a set off borrowed M/T ET streets this time. They are the only tires I can seem to hook on. Since the 4.10's, I just blow off the tires with anything else.

Hey bro,
With all those mods you should be running 12.0's and faster all day long.
You might want to look at your tune. The MPH is low for having 4.10's in the rear. So far i'm right behind you with a 12.5 and i still have 3.55's in the back,
the roush upgrade tune with pulley (i.e. 430 hp 400 trq) and i've hit 112 mph.
You should be hitting the 115/116 mph with those gears. Unless your losing alot through your tranny. I think your car has 11 sec potential as it sits right now. just my .02

GREAT TIMES!! did you ever get that 2.8 pulley??

as for the 11s, from what i have seen, that seems a pretty rare feat for a ROUSHCHARGED car, but GOOD LUCK. my nittos are pretty much dead so i may look into a set of mickeys for next year! keep us posted on your progress!

has anyone here run in the 11s with a roushcharged car that is somewhat stock?!?!

Gears do not effect trap speed. Your trap speed is a function of horsepower and weight. Gears do not add HP, they multiply torque. Going with steeper gears allows you to accellerate faster but your trap speed will be the same or sometimes slightly less. Your car pulling more MPH with the 3.55's is a perfect example.

FWIW my 88LX ran 11.9 @116 with 4.10 gears and 11.7 @114 with 4.30 gears. Lower gear=quicker, higher gear=faster.

With my gearing I will lose some top end, but on another run I hit 111mph. Keep in mind, I haven't done the pulley upgrade yet, so I'm a little down on hp right now. I do need to work on my converter's lock up though. It's hanging at 5500rpms in 4th gear which is hurting my 1/4 times by a .1 or .2

do you think your car would do better with 3.73's, or is this the best it get's?

Up to this point, traction on the launch with the 4.10's was the biggest problem. I think now with the M/T ET streets, I can get the most out of the 4.10's. The 3.73 are becoming a thought for when I do my pulley upgrade (plus it will help my mileage) but I know I can pull a 1.6x something 60ft with the automatic. I have my 0-60mph under 4 seconds now, I want more.

we all want more that's for shure! I think I might get some 3.73;s and a tune from Doug ,and go from there. 1.6 ''60 is awesome and 0-60 under 4. that thing is moving out...........
