--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Drafting men over 60......

This is funny & obviously written by a Former Soldier.

I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track down terrorists. You can't be older than 42 to join the military. They've got the whole thing ***-backwards. Instead of sending 18-year olds off to fight, they ought to take us old guys. You shouldn't be able to join a military unit until you're at least 35.

For starters: Researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10 seconds. Old guys only think about sex a couple of times a day, leaving us more than 28,000 additional seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy.

Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and a cranky soldier is a dangerous soldier. 'My back hurts! I can't sleep, I'm tired and hungry' We are impatient and maybe letting us kill some ******* that desperately deserves it will make us feel better and shut us up for a while.

An 18-year-old doesn't even like to get up before 10 a.m. Old guys always get up early to pee so what the hell. Besides, like I said, 'I'm tired and can't sleep and since I'm already up, I may as well be up killing some fanatical son-of-a-*****.

If captured we couldn't spill the beans because we'd forget where we put them. In fact, name, rank, and serial number would be a real brainteaser.

Boot camp would be easier for old guys.. We're used to getting screamed and yelled at and we're used to soft food. We've also developed an appreciation for guns. We've been using them for years as an excuse to get out of the house, away from the screaming and yelling.

They could lighten up on the obstacle course however. I've been in combat and didn't see a single 20-foot wall with rope hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any pushups after completing basic training.

Actually, the running part is kind of a waste of energy, too. I've never seen anyone outrun a bullet.

An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead of him. He's still learning to shave, to start up a conversation with a pretty girl. He still hasn't figured out that a baseball cap has a brim to shade his eyes, not the back of his head.

These are all great reasons to keep our kids at home to learn a little more about life before sending them off into harm's way..

Let us old guys track down those dirty rotten coward terrorists. The last thing an enemy would want to see is a couple of million pissed off old farts with attitudes and automatic weapons who know that their best years are already behind them.

How about recruiting Women over 50 ....in menopause! You think Men have attitudes! Ohhhhhh my God!
If nothing else, put them on border patrol.... They'll have it secured the first night!

Stolen from another site!

M90 vs R2300; winter usage?

I was wondering how the M90 and the R2300 differ from one another during the winter, in terms of reliability and drive-ability?

I was wondering how the M90 and the R2300 differ from one another during the winter, in terms of reliability and drive-ability?

I was thinking that because of the M90s less complex rotor design (3 lobes) vs the R2300s 4 lobe, would make it less likely to cause issues during extreme cold weather?

Extreme cold start ups, longevity of internal components, over-boosting/lean mixtures due to very cold weather etc.

I am more concerned about the extreme internal clearances between the rotors and how it functions, very cold weather, metal expands and it can muck things up. I know things like the transmission gears have to deal with such cold, but those types of gears are way different and I am assuming they are stronger than the Eatons.

I cannot park my GT during the winter, this is my only reliable car I have. :)

I have my mind set on the R2300 but still lingering thoughts of the M90.. all out performance is great (R2300), but I also definitely need piece of mind and reliability.

Sorry to sound "paranoid", but after speaking much bucko's on the Vortech, only having to sell it because it cannot withstand the winter-

really blows (no pun intended!)

Hey all its been a while since my last posting. I thought i would stop in and say Hi. Well almost 2 years ago now, i purchased a new car my "winter car" which is a 2007 Acura TL Type S. Its kinda like the best of both worlds, being luxury performance. Damn i fell in love with that car the second i sat in it, i knew it was for me. i Love all the gadgets it has, and i can verbally tell the car 256 commands, and it will do it :bang: Ive pretty active in the Acura forums and went to probably 6 meets and just a month ago went 9hrs one way to the National Acura meet in Kansas city Kansas.

Im looking at possibly selling my Roush, to buy a newer 07' & up Corvette Z06. I know its not a sellers market right now but with the uniqueness of the Roush i was wondering what you guys think its worth? The car has about 70k on it. The specs i believe are still in my sig. The car runs just great, and has new tires

One of the biggest noticeable difference on the cars is the braking. The acura has 4 piston Brembo calipers. My god does that car stop quick. my mods for my acura are :

XLR8 Non Res TL-S Quad tip Cat Back Exhaust | AEM v2 CAI | ATLP J-Pipe & RV-6 Test Pipe l Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors F&B| Tein S. Tech Drop | Ingalls | Dunlop 245/45/17 Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec Summer | Michelin X-Ice Xi2 Winter Tires |

If you want you can always check out my videos here http://www.youtube.com/lazerlazer81

Well..lots of work to be honest. Mostly on the house I purchased last year. Life has really kept us busy this year in general and the little projects that have fallen in between have given me the perfect distraction from it all. First thing, I remodeled the garage, which will be a continual work in progress. 2nd, we picked up a 2010 Nissan Armada 4x4 Titanium ....basically..I love it! And to go along with it, we've recently acquired a nice couple of toys. The first is a 1992, CLX 210 w/5L v8 mercrusier in it. It's been maintained very well and stored in a lift at the lake. I rebuilt the trailer a few weeks ago and we pulled the boat out of the lake last Sunday. Unfortunately the boat didn't start. However, after spending yesterday pulling the starter and replacing it, It fires and runs like a charm. We pulled it back out to the lake this evening and took it for spin. Ran it solid for about 2 hours and came in. No issues at all. The next bundle of joy we acquired is a SeaDoo. I have no idea what model it is, but it's in need of a little tlc as well. Enjoy the pics. ...I'll be back on here more often. I've really missed reading all the awesome threads on this site.
