Had a couple of brief text exchanges with him about an hour ago. He said the tornado was within a half-mile of his house, but all is OK. NO electricity and "spotty" internet. If you happen to have his cell # I WOULD NOT recommend calling or texting him at this time, so he can conserve whatever battery power he has left in his phone. (Don't know if he has a car charger or not, but you get my logic, I'm sure.)

I'm sure he will check in here on FNS when it's "doable" and convenient...:bang:

I must say I'm impressed with this new Ford and Roush should do a special edition on them.
I've already got over 800 miles on it and I'm seeing avarage of 23.5 to 24 miles per gallon.
I can say the ecoboost 2.0 has 240 HP with 270 Torque might be under rated, cause it sure feels like more.
The 2.0 Ecoboost is one neat little power house and great on gas!!!
The titanium edition has every option you can throw at it(so many gadgets I'd have to write a book on them),
and yes it can even parallel park it's self.:usa:

The seats felt really comfortable, the exhaust note sounds throaty but not too loud.
The clutch has a very close to the floor board release point and feels really stiff (needs break-in).
The cars feels pedestrian and calm in 1st and 2nd gears but pedal to metal in 3rd and 4th on the freeway on ramp and "Holy Cow" car zooms up to traffic ticket speed so fast and exhaust really roars now.
The gear shifting is precise and not vague at all between 2nd to 3rd, to 4th etc. (nice).
Finally shift to 6th and the car quiets down and feels docile but comfortable (sedan like feel).
Brakes are very good with immediate bite and nice modulation. The tires are warm and grip is surprising but sharp right turns feel heavy and ponderous. It turns like a big car. Exit speed is crazy fast.
Time to turn around and head back to dealer and time to try a burnout. The tires bleed white smoke as I release the throttle a bit as to not fill the cabin with burnt rubber fumes.
Overall the only mods would be LCAs and a watts link, but thinking the Boss 302LS is a better and more balanced HPDE track day car. This car would be my first choice for the drag strip.
Salesman tries to make a deal but offers $19k on my 2007, 427R with only 11K miles for trade-in value (really).
I tell him to find a Boss LS and we'll talk and he then tells me how these will be the last of the Shelby Mustangs and a collectible real soon, like dead painters artwork, LOL.

Yup the wife is pregos and in a couple weeks should be finding out if it will be a boy or girl. We are both super excited and both sets of parents were even more excited then us it seemed.
Almost 3 years ago we both had reached a point in our lives where we felt we were mentally and financially able to start a family so we stopped taking precautions. We were both starting to wonder if there might be something wrong with one or both of us but couple weeks ago wife woke me up with the news and the stick that said Pregnant.
Well as I buckle my seat belt of this rollercoaster of a life change I cant help to wonder all the things that I did as a kid coming back to me now:eek:

The weather was perfect, hit 80 deg. so we headed toward the cool Mts. Went up a favorite & perfect Mustang Road, Dead Indian Rd., didn't see any Indians dead or alive but there are relics from those days all around. Best of all there was no one around! Hardly any traffic at all & I mean 99.9% empty roads. Wonderful time to go & take pictures.

We went to a favorite camping boating fishing lake & hiked around a snowy trail, saw Bald Eagles & Ospreys, we saw snow capped Mt. McLoughlin, old cattle corrals & loading chutes. Anybody ever see a Mt. Bluebird? He glowed in the sunlight & really stood out against his background. Here are just a few pics of our day....
