  • Our New Toy - 67 Mustang

I just wanted to share with everyone the new member of our family. 02 Roush and I purchased a 1967 Mustang today, and its worth sharing.

I think we're approaching Arthurs'(Roushraven) territory. Well we have him beat in cubic inches(by 8) but our two cars added up probably have the hp of one of his. Oh well.

This car was absolutely gorgeous and had to do it. The first thing we're going to do is add new rims and tires. Jess wants the more traditional look. Likes the whitewalls.

                I like these rims.

I had them on my Durango. They are KMC stealth 17's. I'd rather go the sporty route. I like the Torque II's, but see way too many cars with them.

Here's waht they look like on the car. Do you guys agree???

What about doing that modern retro look? Like going with 17" or 18" bullits, or cobra r's, or some roush wheels.

Wow! Those look horrible, why mess up such a sweet looking old car with some ugly wheels? I agree the old wheels arent so good looking but im sure you can choose somthing better than wannabe dubs.

                        They are ARE 212 17's.

Here they are slapped onto the car.

Wow, I cant stop asking myself why you would do this.

Bullitt's, Coddington smoothie 2's somthing has to be better than those.

As a former owner of a '65, this makes me cry. If you're going to modernize the wheels, I think some Boyd Coddingtons or a polished/dipped set of Bullit wheels would be nice. There are quite a few other wheels out there that are similar as well. Aside from that, I'd still take a set of Torque Thrust wheels over any of the other wheels you've suggested thus far.
