How many is a lot of GT500's?
Just wondering how many GT500's at one Ford dealer is a lot. The Ford dealer here has 8 sitting just off the road and to drive by gets me thinking...

Wait until at least dec. before jumping on one. 80% were approved for car loans in 2006, 65% in 2007, we are currently at 22-25% approval rate. You may have good credit, but banks/dealers don't and they are waiting on the bailout to maybe get the auto industry going again. I am eyeing a couple of M5s in my area, they were listed at $95K MSRP brand new, now with 13,000-15,000 miles on them, they are listed between $46K-$52K and they are hurting with the dealers dropping at least $500 every month (just like the housing market). I have the 15% down and excellent credit but just waiting on the banks to get their acts together.

Believe it or not, Canada is not seeing as much of a problem with this. Ford reported sales gains there last month and their credit flow while slowed, is not near as slammed out.

OH I DONT WANT ONE....Its just funny to see so many as I drive by. The dealership is tiny maybe 100 or so cars on the lot...

Roseville Future Ford still has their $45K markup on the Gt500 and $15k on the Roush, I am just waiting for this dealership to sink to the bottom.

To me if you cant buy any car today for invoice there is something wrong with your buying skills...I move big car folks all the time and I hear bad stories.

Stopped by Heritage Ford (issue with my rental car, funny, but a whole nother story) and the sales Manager was eager to show me the Red on Black Shelby GT500 on thier showroom floor once he found out what my real car was. Said they were letting it go for sticker $47K....no markup....thats the first I had heard of this so maybe the dealers have figured out that the car buying public, just won't pay for the markup. No one has expendable cash right now.

My local small town Ford dealer still has a red, convertible GT 500, that has been sitting in their show room all spring and summer. I'm betting that a "deal" could probably really be made on it. I've been asked more than once to buy it, but I'm COMPLETELY happy and satisfied with my 07' Roushed GT.

I've seen a couple dealers selling GT500's for MSRP. They can't sell the Shelby GT models, even at MSRP.

I should go and look at the window sticker on these GT500's...I am hitting up another ford dealer here for a recall on my 05 F150 so I will check and see if they have any 500's and see what theirs are at...Cars in canada are stupid expensive though lol
