Shiit! I screwed up a rim.

I had some lug nuts come loose and it broke a couple of studs and elongated several holes in the back rim. After calling around I have not been able to find somebody who can fix this locally. I think I am screwed with buying a whole new rim.

That's because you're putting so much power through them Considered getting lightweight forged rims yet?

You will be better off getting a new rim anyways.

Bummer dude.

Two stories: (1) I clipped a curb about two months ago, and totally rashed the right rear rim. I cussed for about an hour straight.

(2) On the way home from work yesterday, a minivan pulles out in front of me on the highway. I changed lanes and went around her. No biggie, I just hate it when somebody pulls our in front of you and creaps along.

A little while later, I just happened to looked in the rear view mirror and I see the same minivan loose it's left rear tire. She pulls over, while the tire bounces around in traffic. It nearly missed several cars going the same direction, but when it went into oncoming traffic, an F-150 wasn't so lucky.

She had changed a flat herself, and didn't tighten the lugnuts down. Nobody was injured, but the minivan and the F-150 will both need a lot of work. I think the tire did more damage to the minivan as it left, than it did to the truck in a head-on collision.
