Intercooler Spray Kit
Well I was flipping through my Summit Racing catalog today and noticed a product I hadn't heard of before. To some extent it reminds you of a nitrous kit, mostly because of the bottle and how it sprays and stuff, but its quite a bit different. Looks fairly interesting and the price for this particular kit "CryO2" is only $370 and looks like it could be used in conjunction with nitrous. So after I explain a little bit about the product, I was just wondering if anyone had used this or something like it and if it was worth while.
Basically, this kit cools air temperatures by about 35% and improves intercooler efficiency about 50%. The water sprayer mists the intercoolers surface and CO2 is vented onto the cooling fins for a cooler, denser intake charge, so you get more power without installing nitrous or injecting anything into the engine. Here's a link to the official site http://www.designengineering.com/pro...asp?m=sc&cid=1 There is some extra info there about the kit and how to use it. There are some catches, in order to avoid depriving the engine of oxygen, mostly keeping the CO2 away from the intake and there are also some other products such as a water sprayer, purge kit, and fuel bar. It looks cool, and might be safer to use than some other mods, but then it also might be one of those things to add after there's nothing else to add.
