Yes I do have the Red Top Optima, and there are two types they have.
Mine is the one with the top post and side post.
The other is only top post.
I'll try and post a photo later to show it in engine bay.
It is a awsome battery and you will be glad you got it.

Ps. Here's a photo of another members Roush on here I have the same battery.

Slight hijack - I just about lost it Edward!! I thought that was YOUR engine bay and you'd been holding out on us with some pretty significant mods!!

May have to get one of those myself....Went to open the trunk and the remote didn't work. Tried to open the door and remote didn't work. Was hoping it was the battery in the remote. Stuck the key in the switch....click, click, click. Car has only sat for 11 days. It has sat for 3 1/2 weeks before without a problem.

It is possible, that your battery has a bad cell or plate. When it sets, do you have it locked, with the active security system on? Previous discussions have indicated that the security system, over a long time period, can significantly drain the battery. If yours has sat for extended periods before and this time only made it 11 days, then it may well be a problem with the battery that has developed recently.

Mine sat for months over the winter and kicked right off this spring. I don't lock it, so the security system is not active and pulling anything from the battery.

I ended up saving the battery so far....charged it up and then drove it on a nice long roadtrip. I have the battery tender hooked up now so far so good. Just did not want to buy a new battery yet. Thanks for all the ideas and pictures

Wifes battery in her 06GT Vert went belly up a few months ago (was only 1.5 years old) and I replaced it with the Optima Red Top. Wasn't too happy with it not fitting snuggly in the battery box as the OEM battery did, but its secure, so its ok. Its a little smaller than OEM, width and depth wise and is a little taller, was afraid I'd have hood n terminal issues, but it just clears.
