Opinions and ideas needed!

Well, I have been thinking for awhile about painting the 427R graphics instead of the vinyl. What is all your thoughts on this? As of now it is redfire with the silver, I have been in contact with a talented painter and his opinion is to use a pearl and have a ghosted effect. Yet another idea is to add darker tint into the redfire or paint with a candy tint for the darker effect. I definently know that I will retain the original detail of the graphics. Any ideas and opinions would be great, pictures even better. Thanks in advance.

PS.The stock hood is back on and the C\f is up for sale.

I have seen a black one with red stripes painted on in a 'ghost' fashion and it looked incredible! I am sure one of the other forum masters could even pull the pic from that post and show you!

ps.. in one more opinion, i would do the stripes a color to match your carbon fiber hood! just an opinion

I like them both. But, I have redfire not black, rats. Anyway thanks Roushinator and Nashville. Any thoughts on the second pics with colors reversed or darker stripes on redfire? I did not care for the highway shake of the C\f hood. Pins would be hard, but not impossible on this hood.

I'll throw out an idea I had, as my car is identical to yours. I like the fender badging on my car with the 427R font, but I am not crazy about the "handle" of the hockey stick. What my idea was, is to run the vertical portion lower down to the bottom section of the door and then run the stripes toward the rear. Basically, I'm combining the existing stripe, without the handle, and the stripes that are on the bottom of PastorJ or Redroushwa's cars.
When I have some time, I will photoshop something onto my car to see what it would really look like. Like I said, it was just an idea.

And a good one, I will have to play with that a little. I would like to keep the design somewhat the same, just a little different on the colors. Keep them coming please!

I think a darker red painted stripe might look real good on your car, perhaps with the alternate style of stripe. I typically prefer the subtle, classy look.
