Glass Hood Kit for 2005-2009 Mustangs!

We get to be the first to see a lot of new products here. There are good ones, exciting ones, and every once in a while we really get wowed. This is one of those times.

The guys down at Hillbank Motorsports have come up with the magic answer to everyone who ever spent a mint-load on their engine compartments, only to have to close hood on it every time they drive their car. Behold the new glass hood-kit! You can now open the window to your car's soul.

This new product comes in both a kit form or a complete hood assembly. It uses real tempered glass in a poly-carbonate frame assembly that mounts into the factory aluminum hood. An upper and lower bezel is custom made to be a perfect fit with the lower ribs in the hood and the outer curvature.

The best thing about this product is that it gives you a totally off the hook but off the shelf way to show off that blower or that detailed intake of yours. Because it uses the Ford factory hood, there are none of the fitting issues typically associated with aftermarket hoods.

The product is available in both a kit or a complete assembly. The kit can be installed by your body shop by yourself if you have the ability. The trim surrounds must be painted to match your car. The kit retails for $1,299.99

If you want to save your hood or time and get a complete assembly built with a genuine Ford aluminum hood, you can pick that up for 2,499.99. Of course you need to budget to have it painted to match your car.

The photos speak for themselves. This is one hot new product for those that are packing something they want to show off. For more information visit Hillbank MotorSports- Performance Parts And Accessories

Wow, that wins the creativity award. You don't even have to open your hood at shows anymore.

P.S. - I think that car needs some of Carmen's pullies on it

That is cool but only if you have something cool under the hood to show off.

That Roush supercharger and intake tube with ROUSH on it sure fills it out nicely though

Nice idea but not for me.
I'd rather have a working Hood scoop and make people wonder whats under the hood.

I would buy that in a heart beat! I have always wanted a glass hood on my car. Even when I was 16 and driving my 67 Mustang I would have given anything for one. Now if someone would only create one for the sn95

Glass is very heavy. How much extra does it add?

It does look good....but we also would rather have a working hood. Besides....Phyllis would kill me if I even tried getting rid of her hood with the ghost stripes and flames.

I'm waiting on the glass body kit. Then it will look like your driving an invisible car!

Not a big fan really. I guess if you are a car show goer, but otherwise don't really see that. Plus how is it mounted and what would air pressure do to it. The cost seems extremely steep to. The sample car with the 427 stripes doesn't help for me either. Don't like the copy cat effect.
