What is best way to clean the buffer pads

Hey guys,

Just thought i would ask. Once you have used a pad for detailing with the porter cable, what is the best way to clean them so they can be used again. I am not chat cheap, but don't really want to wait for shipping when I get the detailer fever.

I just got over $200 worth of stuff from Justin, so will need to reuse pads. Thanks

Lamar

I might try that stuff out as well, but what I have and am currently using is just some go ol' Palmolive dish soap. It gets all the residue out of the pads very well. And I just keep rinsing until I get all traces of soap out of the pad. I haven't had any issues with the pads as of yet. And I have reused them a couple of times.

Dish soap works great for a few times, but realize that after a few times use the pads pick up some grit that will create swirls on dark colors.
Would think that the few times per yr you acutualy use them, fresh new pads would be best.

I wash mine is the washing machine usually, they won't last as long this way though. You can use an all purpose cleaner to clean them. Most pad cleaners are basically an all purpose cleaner with a jacked up price. You can also use Dawn dish soap.
