Detailing Instructions for “Obsessive Detail Power Pack”
Hi all,
Justin asked me if I wouldn't mind putting together the steps I followed to use his products that we've been discussing in this thread: Justin's products ROCK! (fresh detail pics) I'm kind of anal, so I wrote the instructions out and verified with Justin before beginning my detailing adventure. Here's what I came up with: Obsessive Detail Products Detailing Instructions for “Obsessive Detail Power Pack” and Porter Cable buffer 1) Rinse down car with water to loosen/remove large chunks of dirt 2) Use Waterless Wash with Carnauba - if claybarring – don’t dry, otherwise dry with microfiber 3) Clay bar with Fast Shine - When you use the claybar make sure to use plenty of Fast Shine for lube. Break clay into 3 chunks; put other 2 pieces in a baggie. Let the claybar glide over the paint until it feels completely smooth. There is no need to apply any pressure. Then take a microfiber and dry it off. Do this to the whole car. 4) Apply the Light Polish - WHITE Pad – speed 4 5) Apply Wet Shine Acrylic Glaze - GRAY PAD – speed 4 or less 6) Final step - apply Wet Wax (2 coats) - GRAY PAD – speed 4 or less Additional notes: Apply the Light Polish with the white polishing pad. If you just want to clean the paint you will only need to use speed 4. If you are wanting to correct swirls bump it up to speed 5-6. Use the gray pad to put on the Wet Shine Acrylic Glaze and Wet Wax. You can also put on the glaze or wax by hand, it is just personal preference, you don't want to go over speed 4 for these. Hope this helps, Justin feel free to correct/add anything! Kandy
