Justin, I'm quite sure I have a bunch of stuff coming for Christmas, but I'm not to sure about this waterless wash/detailer. Can you or anybody else convince me to try it? I just don't see how it doesn't put fine scratches in the paint. Even with just minor dust from a days drive.

I use quick detailers and waterless wash on my show car all of the time. It doesn't have any marring or swirls at all.
I mainly use quick detailers after a wash to give the paint that extra pop or when I come back from a drive. I also use it a lot at car shows when a little dust starts to build up. The waterless washes are for when the vehicle is a little dirtier. I like to use a waterless wash to clean the car after a long drive to a car show. Waterless washes have more cleaners and lubricants in them than a quick detailer. I just tell people to use their best judgement with qd's and waterless washes, if the vehicle seems to dirty to use one of these it probably is. Also I highly recommend using a good thick microfiber towel to trap some of the dirt particles in the fibers. You want to keep flipping the microfiber to a clean section when wiping off quick detailer or ww. I hope this helps. If these are used correctly they will not hurt your paint at all.

I can testify to the Poorboy's Spray and Wipe. It really does work. I've used it for almost a year after I drive to every show I've done and sometimes in the garage when i see a small smudge or dirt of some kind. I haven't had any scratches at all. Plus I've bought at least five of the 16oz bottles and one gallon bottle. And that doesn't include the Spray and Gloss and Bold and Bright. Man, I spend as much money with Justin and I do with Jack. ![]() But I don't regret a dime of it when I see how the Beast sparkles. |

I have been wanting to try waterless products. I have a "when to use" question though. Would you say it is safe to use a waterless wash when:
The reason I ask is I want to know if it is safer for the second. I get a layer of dust on the car from people going fast up and down the gravel road right next to where my car is parked. Then the car sits overnight and the dust gets stuck to the paint. To me a wash would be the safest method of cleaning for that, but I am curious if this is where a waterless wash product would come into play and could be safely used. Sorry for the rant, just want to be clear. Thanks!

Yeah a waterless wash should be used when there is more dust than a quick detailer can handle. I almost always use waterless washes on our daily drivers, which I do almost everyday. Now if there was mud or road grime I would use a regular wash.
It sounds like a regular wash would be better in your situation. Something that you might want to look into that I use a ton is Optimum No Rinse, now this is considered a rinseless wash. This can take place of a conventional wash method. With No Rinse you use 1 ounce of product with 1 gallon of water. You take your mitt and wash one panel and dry right away with a microfiber towel. Then rinse out your mitt into the bucket and do the next panel. You do this for the whole vehicle. This way you don't get water running out of all of the crevices and you don't getr waterspots, plus the No Rinse gives a just waxes look. It also gives a Rain X type effect on the windows. I really think this will work better for your situation. Let me know if you have anymore questions I can help you with.

I was looking at O.N.R. today, debating on whether or not I should get some, and was just trying to decide which would be best. With winter coming up, using warm water from in the house with a no rinse product would be much more convenient and less....freezing.
I have heard really good things about O.N.R. even over on the Meguiar's forums. It will probably work even better with a Grit Guard. I will have to get some from you, a 32oz. size or so should do it. I might as well also pick up your Waterless Wash just in case (the 16oz.). I am taking off for work, but I will get a hold of you tomorrow. Shoot me a PM with a total price and a good time to call, or I can do PayPal, whichever is easier for you! Thanks for the shove Justin! I will be in touch! ![]()

I got the package today, but I had a question about ONR. ONR says add 1oz to 1-2 gallons of water. I am guessing the proper dilution is 1oz to 1 gal, as almost every single car wash is?
