hey justin can water spots get under the wax and stay there? im about to have to polish wash and wax my car again but even now after i wash and immediately dry it, it never looks flawless and i can see water spots.

oh and after i polish and wax do i need to clean my pads really good, if the polishs and waxes dry on ther does it make them abbrasive to the paint?

thanks.

Depending on how bad the waterspots are, they should come out. Sometimes if they are bad they can get etched into the paint and only wetsanding would remove them. Most of the time an abrassive polish willl remove them.

Yes you should clean your pads after every use and don't use different products on the same pad. You can wash the pads with Dawn dish soap by hand or throw them in the washing machine with normal detergent.

Yeah the Optimum Compound should work fine. I would try that with the white pad and if you don't get the results you are looking for, bump up to the orange pad.

That is very good info! I know quite a few people who just rinse the pads and then use another product on them. I just stand back and shake my head. I buy new pads every few months and just use the old ones for other things besides on my vehicles.
